Hello!

This blog is dedicated to my sharings about general life and others, a bit of a personal memorial of my (now) youth and what I've done, seen, experienced, enjoyed. Life is finite, experiences are finite, but archival can make that experience last, just a little longer.

  • If you're looking for any specific content (i.e specific cars, etc), please use the search function and use your PC's Ctrl + F Search function. Unfortunately due to Blogger's shortcomings, the website's search function is not intuitive, so the Ctrl + F function helps alot. Happy reading!
  • Oh, and please do refer to using the web / PC version, as the mobile implementation isn't well done. Thank you!

Penang: Trip 3 Day 2

 Trip 3 Day 2

Penang - 15/9/23 - Since I lack creativity to think of good headers for these posts, it'll probably be better for future posts to be written similarly to how this is formatted.

Start things off, installing a Lufi gauge into the Airtrek; we'd expect it to work (With no pretense of prior installations of any form of aftermarket pods or screens).

Cut things short; it was not compatible. Reading a comment post from someone trying to install theirs into their 2007 Skyline 370GT. A reply confirmed that their car's OBD protocol is different and therefore rendered incompatible with the car. A 2007 Nissan not being compatible means an even lesser chance the 2004 Mitsubishi would work as well.

The gauge is probably going onto the Mercedes back in Singapore.
Dropping into Penang's Queensbay Mall to looking at some housing, food and general shopping, there stood some new cars of good interest for this blog.

A 2023 Toyota Alphard demo car, customized with creature comforts akin to that of a Rolls Royce, with exterior parts to match. One of the spokesperson mentioned that the service they provide was offering Recon cars with customization available, the overall cost lower than purchasing a new car. Its a good concept and does remind me of tuning shops or cosmetic companies.

The new WRX; complete with its plastic bits that struck division between enthusiasts. Its an odd design decision that I too don't understand, but replacing with painted panels should be possible.

I'll cut to the little pub session at night, note no drinks, only light snacks (Nothing of related interest happened through the evening)

A sufficiently good spot to camp for cars, until big MPV's began parking and blocking the view.

Mighty Toyota Sera

In the ensuing days will be a round-island drive; its scheduled for tomorrow, so hopefully it'll sustain.
