Hello!

This blog is dedicated to our sharings about general car enthusiast life in Singapore and others, a bit of a personal memorial of our youth and what we've done, seen, experienced, enjoyed. Sadly due to how things are run here, not all cars can live a full life as they would be intended. As such, we will try to document whatever we can and archive photos of what will one day become forgottens of the past. Life is a finite experience.

Penang: Back again!

 Back again!

Penang - 25/6/23 - I'm not a hotshot by any means, but I'm back in Penang again!

I won't bore with the details you wouldn't to hear, but suffice to say, I'm back again in Penang for another week.

Previously, the parking complex contained no sports cars, today was a bit of a surprise.

I won't fuss over the "GT" plate on a BRZ.

A mighty Innova, or, well, ours, parked.

A particular model I don't commonly see even in Malaysia: Toyota Yaris.

I'll graciously admit that modified Proton's, when done right, do look interesting. (Sorry, they're not VERY striking)

Just a reminder that QueensBay Mall is a nice place to be.

This store is good. I recommend trying it if you happen to be in the mall.

No photos of the actual food. Sorry!

Getting schooled on Wangan Midnight. I must say that the scene has changed into a more challenging pace since before the COVID lockdown.

A Malaysia plate Toyota (Vios?) and a Toyota Caldina parked together..

Honda CRZ's seem to be the Suzuki Swift Sport's of Singapore. Otherwise, the go-to starter enthusiast car.

Proton Persona wearing a front bumper made to resemble that of a Proton Satria Neo Lotus Racing?

Gone is a Subaru BRZ and in is a Toyota Supra. Surprise!

I did miss a few noteworthy cars, such as an A31 Cefiro, a Thai plate Mazda 2 and a SG plate BMW, but it does happen.

...

Come night time, it was a matter of difficulty sleeping. A location poised next to a highway, and a Saturday meant for getting to know about the many bike and car gatherings by different groups. So every passing minute meant a good chance to hear one or several cars flying through the highway, exhausts and pops and bangs resonating.

Took an hour for me to give up and poise myself on the balcony to capture whatever flew by.

A Mitsubishi Mirage / Proton Satria followed by a Mitsubishi Spacewagon.

Not just cars, bikes too.

While the Kia Forte remains a common sight in Singapore, they're less seen in Penang, especially the Koup.

A Mitsubishi Lancer / Proton Inspira running the straight.

One of many Civic FD's running the highway with varying volumes of farts.

First Proton Jumbuck of the trip.

Its a good color, this Honda Civic 3-DR.

Perodua Kelisa / Daihatsu Mira with a Gino front end.

Till then folks, see you in the next entry!
