Classic Cars Christmas Meet (17 December 2023)

  Singapore - 17/12/23 - Today's a Classic car meet, in a fresh venue! Instead of Dempsey Hill if not East Coast Park or Decathlon Kallang, this event is hosted and supported by IKEA Tampines. A healthy change of pace and a nice way to end the year off with one of the last few car meets of 2023.

I dedicated more of my time doing recordings over photography, so much of the attendees would be featured in my video of this meet, while the photos I took were primarily of those that were still present half an hour or so before the 1030 conclusion. First one I've ever seen - W204 C230.
Using a 2.5L V6 and boasting an AMG Sport package,
this is an understated model that is not easy to find.

The little Vivio RX-R; another one of Japan's hidden (little) gems. Despite the deficit in power due to its Kei-car regulations, the Vivio has seen motorsports usage, especially in Singapore during the 90's. Because of this, the RX-R is one that is well looked-upon whenever posted in groups.

Twinning Mazda RX7 FC's side-by-side; if maybe you could consider polar opposites of each other. White and black, coupe and convertible.

A Civic SiR EK4 converted to look like a Type R. EK9R's do not have a sunroof, which does give this car away. Still better than a VTi 1.5, I'd think.

Sad that this black-plate example was converted to the classic scheme a while back, but if to keep it alive on public roads, I support it.

Very rarely these days would you be able to find a Holden, if it isn't practically impossible to find a black-plate example. While Holden used to have a market here, they have since ceased selling cars here, of which, their attempts to bring HSV (Holden Special Vehicles) into the Singapore market around the late to early 2010's, did not help them.
