Hello!

This blog is dedicated to my sharings about general life and others, a bit of a personal memorial of my (now) youth and what I've done, seen, experienced, enjoyed. Life is finite, experiences are finite, but archival can make that experience last, just a little longer.

  • If you're looking for any specific content (i.e specific cars, etc), please use the search function and use your PC's Ctrl + F Search function. Unfortunately due to Blogger's shortcomings, the website's search function is not intuitive, so the Ctrl + F function helps alot. Happy reading!
  • Oh, and please do refer to using the web / PC version, as the mobile implementation isn't well done. Thank you!

Midnight Racing: Tokyo Patch 9 (1.2 Chassis)

Midnight Racing: Tokyo Patch 9 (1.2 Chassis) 30/10/23

Assisted with this patch doing badgework, lots of ups and downs. Overall, proud of what's been done .

The new few patches I expect will be smaller, and my workload will be cut. Likely, this'll be maybe 2-4 cars per video. Sounds quite a bit like Gran Turismo's patches.

Regarding the cinematic, an idea I've had for a long time was to do filming in VR. This sounds useless, I know, but Vive's Mirror Display function shows the vision of the headset in a circle manner with a high FOV. Fisheye lens, why wouldn't you?

However, due to complications with Roblox, this is most effective only in Studio.

Vive's Display Mirror function provides a combined output of sorts, giving the edges and chromatic aberration sells the look of an old fisheye lens. However, should you want to try it yourself, it isn't ready out of the box, and you'll be required to edit the video accordingly so that the shape resembles a full circle.

In-game photos of my work:

Best work of the batch: Subaru Legacy RS Type RA.

The original model needed a lot of work, some I completely omitted due to time and unwillingness to fix how far down this model had already gone.

Doesn't help its really difficult to source examples to take from. The 1990 for instance had an identical however different arrangement. Alas, with TLC, its in a better state, with my first application of textures for lights. I'm hoping that this can be fleshed out to more cars in the future.

Something about the MX-5. Based off the Eunos Roadster S-Special II, MR:T now has the equivalent Eunos; in the form of the Yunos brand. The in-game name will not be affected, only in physical badging is it categorized a Yunos.

One of the best parts of drafting the video? Map creation. Very daunting at first, but once the concept shapes itself into what you want, expected or didn't expect (Positively), that motivation builds up to push forward and complete it into a presentable state.

This map is based off of the more recent addition to Roblox's free map templates, retaining the streets and props but simplified buildings take the place of the provided.
