Hello!

This blog is dedicated to my sharings about general life and others, a bit of a personal memorial of my (now) youth and what I've done, seen, experienced, enjoyed. Life is finite, experiences are finite, but archival can make that experience last, just a little longer.

  • If you're looking for any specific content (i.e specific cars, etc), please use the search function and use your PC's Ctrl + F Search function. Unfortunately due to Blogger's shortcomings, the website's search function is not intuitive, so the Ctrl + F function helps alot. Happy reading!
  • Oh, and please do refer to using the web / PC version, as the mobile implementation isn't well done. Thank you!

Disclaimer:

As the content is going to feature uncensored number plates, please email charademails@gmail.com if there is a vehicle that needs censoring/removal. All photos have been edited to blur occupants' faces if revealed in photo.

Please understand none of the photos were taken with ill intent; all were photographed by someone who likes old, sports, and ordinary cars. I hope these will act as a photographic memory of what cars were around, or what owners have driven around this time too. Happy browsing!

Due to the nature of this blog, number plates are going to be written down for easier searching. This is because tagging each post with manufacturer/model tags will severely increase tag count and clog the existing labels. I apologize and understand that this is relatively unethical, and if needed, please email me if you feel this should be rectified.

I would think Toyota importers were either not very confident with the 86 during its launch, or the buyers flocked more towards the Base GT86 and few opted for the manual variants. Compared to today whereby Borneo Motors imports only the 2.4M RZ (Parallel Importers bring in the 2.4M RC), base autos seem to be rather common around the surviving GT86 world. Low sales so far of the GR86 might be representative too, but I wouldn't count it as a comparison due to the current economy and global events of recent years.
